Carl A. Grant Scholars Lecture Series
The School of Education and the Wisconsin Center for Education Research sponsor the Carl A. Grant Scholars Lecture Series. Grant, who joined the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in 1972, serves as the Hoefs-Bascom Professor of Teacher Education. He has written about and worked with teachers and administrators throughout his career to improve minoritized students’ achievement and schooling experiences, knowledge and skills in multicultural social justice, culturally responsive curriculum development, and teaching. The goal of this lecture series is to enhance awareness of scholarship on these topics on and beyond our campus, and to promote scholarly interest and collaborations in multicultural educational topics.
