WCER Strategic Planning
In the first six months of 2021, WCER engaged in a strategic planning process guided by WCER's values:
- Innovation and Excellence
- Equitable Education
- Affirming and Increasing Diversity
- Healthy Workplace
- Partnering Across Differences
The goals of this process were:
- Identify the knowledge, skills and awareness of positionality needed to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion into the center’s daily operations;
- Improve and expand the center’s services equitably to UW-Madison students, faculty, and academic and university staff;
- Operate as a learning organization that uses systematic problem solving, experimentation, learning from its own and others’ diverse experiences and the efficient transfer of knowledge to achieve its mission;
- Promote high-quality, community-connected local, state, national and international research on education; and
- Expand and diversify its sources of funding for research.
